Instrument to measure knowledge about breast, colorectal and cervical cancer screening
— Under development —
General
This instrument is designed to assess citizens’ knowledge about cancer screening, focusing on essential information required to make informed decisions about screening for three types of cancer: colorectal, breast, and cervical cancer.
The instrument includes 18 core items and is adapted into three specific versions based on the type of cancer being evaluated:
- Colorectal Cancer Screening Knowledge Instrument (CoCSKI)
- Breast Cancer Screening Knowledge Instrument (BrCSKI)
- Cervical Cancer Screening Knowledge Instrument (CeCSKI)
Each version has its own scoring instructions, detailed in the accompanying User Guide.
These instruments are intended to evaluate whether existing cancer screening information materials effectively provide citizens with the necessary knowledge to make informed decisions about participation. They can also identify the need for developing improved and tailored information resources. For detailed guidance on implementation, please refer to the User Guide.
